DVTEL Announces 2013 Quasar IP Camera Road Show

DVTEL Announces 2013 Quasar IP Camera Road Show

DVTEL, INC., a video security solutions provider, is kicking off its 2013 line-up of Quasar IP Camera roadshows that introduce the newest features and capabilities of the Quasar HD broadcast-quality, IP camera line to value-added resellers, end users, and the architect and engineer communities. The one-day courses, to be held across North America in 2013, feature interactive sessions on the value of the MPEG motion compensation, edge-based storage and management options, high-resolution image quality and video analytics.

Attendees will see live demos of competitive technologies and learn how to reduce their storage bids by up to 67%, with guaranteed frame-rates and broadcast HD image quality, to be more competitive in future and ongoing projects.

Other topics include:

  • What broadcast technology can do for your business;
  • The benefits of MPEG-recommended motion processing;
  • Reducing the need to consider motion or scene complexity in storage quotes;
  • Lens quality;
  • Functionalities of today’s megapixel cameras;
  • Resolution parameters to support digital zoom;
  • HD cameras vs. high-resolution cameras;
  • Smart picture quality with auto-tune;
  • Tamper detection;
  • Auto-focusing;
  • Mobile surveillance options; and
  • HD picture quality.

The educational events provide an opportunity for industry practitioners and installers to learn about the benefits of an end-to-end, IP solution from DVTEL that includes video management software, HD cameras, video analytics and mobile capabilities. Presented in a “lunch-and-learn” format, the seminars include presentations, technology demonstrations and networking opportunities. Discussions will cover best practices for implementing an HD surveillance system and ways in which these new devices and services help resellers realize new business opportunities, while enabling users to further secure their infrastructure.

The first certification class will be held on May 21, 2013, in Secaucus, N.J. The next road show will be held on June 11, 2013, in Raleigh. N.C. Subsequent events will be held in Indiana, Michigan, Florida, California, Texas, Seattle and Portland. Each session will be approximately three hours in length.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to show the benefits of our Quasar cameras to our partners and customers,” said Ed Wassall, vice president, Global Marketing and Hardware Products, DVTEL. “These road shows provide an ideal opportunity to enhance knowledge of network video and learn how users can work closely with us to reach common goals.”
