Schneider Electric Announces New Pelco Sarix IL 10 Series Box Cameras and Micro Domes

Schneider Electric Announces New Pelco Sarix IL 10 Series Box Cameras and Micro DomesSchneider Electric announced the release and availability of its new Pelco Sarix IL10 Series mini box and micro dome cameras, the first of more than 50 new Sarix-fixed, IP camera products to be released in 2013. Delivering on customer needs and preference, the high-definition, IP network cameras offer a cost-effective solution for video security needs in small- and medium-sized businesses.

Part of Pelco’s Value Range of IP cameras, the Sarix IL10 Series cameras produce high-quality, color HDTV video, and the integrated, fixed-focal length lens enables sharp scene alignment and easy installation. The series, which comes in four models, is suitable for a variety of indoor environments.

Additional features of the Sarix IL10 Series include:

  • Convenient Power: The PoE models easily integrate with PoE-enabled network switches or power injectors, eliminating the need for separate power supplies and cabling. The 24 VAC models are also offered for installations where 24 VAC power already exists.
  • Web Interface: Uses a standard Web browser that allows for easy remote setup and administration. Users have an easy, one-step, camera configuration for features including color, exposure, flicker control and streaming. In addition, a one-click shutter allows users to capture JPEG images of the live view for documenting, positioning or easy event recording.
  • Video Streams: Can support two simultaneous video streams that can be compressed in H.264 format, allowing the streams to be individually optimized between highest-quality and bandwidth/storage efficiency. In addition, the cameras support text overlay with options for time, date and camera name.
  • Systemization: Easily connects to Pelco IP and hybrid video management systems and major third party video management systems through the Pelco API. The cameras also support the ONVIF Profile S standard for connection with third party video management systems.

“Schneider Electric is excited to announce these affordable cameras as part of our roll out of new Sarix IP cameras to the market this year,” said Scott Paul, senior product marketing manager, Schneider Electric. “We are focused on meeting our customers’ needs and concentrating 100 percent of our research and development efforts on IP services and technologies to deliver open, IP-based solutions to meet ever evolving security needs.”
