HID Global Appoints Rob Haslam as Vice President of Government ID Solutions

HID Global Appoints Rob Haslam as Vice President of Government ID SolutionsHID Global, a solution provider of secure identity solutions, announced that Rob Haslam has joined the company as vice president of Government ID Solutions. In his new role, Haslam is responsible for the strategic development and worldwide expansion of the company’s government-to-citizen ID business. This includes extending HID Global’s reach by delivering secure ID solutions into major government ePassport and eID projects that integrate Genuine HID technologies, products, solutions and services as exemplified by the company’s experience in the delivery of the Angolan and Saudia Arabia National ID, Australian Driver's Licenses, United Kingdom’s ePassport, Ireland’s new ePassport, Italian Citizen ID and U.S. Green Card programs.

Haslam has over 20 years of international business development experience and leading teams in selling complex government solutions to address IT and technology; secure printing including currency, identity management, biometrics; and public safety telecoms requirements. Haslam’s extensive background in building and implementing growth strategies will contribute to the growth and extension of HID Global’s integrated Government ID Solutions portfolio that includes smart card ID credentials and total ID ecosystems for ePassport, eDocuments, national ID, foreign resident, worker ID and vehicle registration programs.

Prior to joining HID Global, Haslam’s career has included his role as vice president of International Sales and Business Development at L-1 Identity Solutions and 16 years at UK currency and identity specialist De La Rue. Haslam also served in executive-level positions at companies focused on secure identity document issuance solutions and secure government/public safety telecommunications networks.

Haslam holds a bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom and is fluent in French, Spanish and Portuguese, in addition to his native English.
