TycoIS Awarded Contract Renewal by National Joint Powers Alliance

TycoIS Awarded Contract Renewal by National Joint Powers AllianceTyco Integrated Security, a Tyco (TYC) company and a security systems integrator, today announced a newly awarded term of a national alliance cooperative contract from the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA). The awarded contract will allow more than 50,000 Public Entity members to receive competitive bid procurement access to Tyco Integrated Security's industry-leading lines of security equipment, systems and services.

NJPA awarded Tyco Integrated Security the contract for Facility Security Equipment, Systems and Services with Related Equipment and Supplies based on its product quality, superior customer service and overall market leadership. The agreement streamlines the contracting process for both members and selected, qualified solution providers by providing member agencies with access to quality products with a smaller impact on resources.

“The NJPA competitive bid process ensures exceptional value to their members, and our continued relationship will enable members to take advantage of our best in class security solutions and services,” said Steve Leitz, director of commercial sales for Tyco Integrated Security. “We have established NJPA customer relationships in virtually every major market in the US, and we will continue to focus on expanding that customer base. We are also pleased that our sister company Simplex Grinnell, the industry leader in fire protection, has been awarded a separate contact which enables both our companies to partner and provide a best-in-class solution for all life safety needs.”

Since NJPA initially awarded TycoIS this contract in 2009, the resulting sales have grown exponentially every year. The contracting agency awarded a four year renewal to Tyco Integrated Security with Simplex Grinnell, a Tyco International Company, and safety and property protection provider.

“We selected TycoIS for this national contract award renewal because of its high-quality products and services, and deep roots in the integrated security industry,” said Mike Hajek, NJPA's director of business development and marketing. “With its broad national footprint, we’re confident that TycoIS will have another successful contract term.”
