Cyber Security Threats Part of ATTs New Launch

Cyber Security Threats Part of ATTs New LaunchAccording to AT&T, the most critical areas of security include network-based defense, cloud security, secure mobile businesses and threat management with customers looking for comprehensive, integrated solutions that provide improved visibility of possible threats as well as their own networks. This has prompted AT&T to get serious about security; and they should, especially since they manage approximately 24,000 security devices and about one million seats for cloud-based security services!

Launching later this year is AT&T’s expanded set of managed security solutions (MMS), new capabilities, including the first, all-in-one, mobile security solution and the expansion of their cyber security portfolio.

AT&T’s enhancements to their security solutions portfolio include:

  • The launch of a new cyber security solution: combines network and device-level security controls with highly-secure, virtual private networking, application security and a full suite of mobile device management capabilities.
  • Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) assessments: helps organizations evaluate their ability to detect, resist and respond to targeted cyber security threats.
  • Double network capacity: provides greater customer protection against DDoS attacks by dispersing and absorbing malicious traffic before reaching customer networks.

“Security is at the very core of what we do as a company,” stated VP Security Services, AT&T Business Solutions, Andy Daudelin. “From the security controls built right into the backbone of our network to our proprietary threat intelligence, we work to make security an enabler, not a limitation of business transformation. That’s one reason why we have a 98 percent retention rate among our security clients.”

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
