Ready for the Big Show

True to form, Altronix is kicking off ASIS 2013 in regal fashion. A penthouse full of guests will be taking in the Cubs/Pirates baseball game at Wrigley Field. I feel like the luckiest man on earth. I love baseball.
Ask me how the game went on the first day of ASIS. I'm sure we can easily mingle a little baseball talk with security products and technology.
As you can well imagine, I get lots of emails prior to any tradeshow about new products, new services and integration capabilities. I want to share a few with you before ASIS gets underway.
Speco Technologies will be hosting a live demonstration of their new NSP NVR (booth 4701). This little gem comes with built-in PoE, and comes with auto register and will enroll the cameras to produce a picture automatically. The DVR comes in 4, 8 or 16 channel desktop or wall mount. Built in PoE eliminates the need for a separate power supply to the IP cameras, and NSP provides seamless IP camera connectivity when using some of the available Speco cameras.
Speaking of cameras, we're probably going to see a bunch of new equipment during ASIS 2013. I'll update you as the week goes along, but for now you might want to have a look at the Axis Communications M30 series of fixed mini domes. For instance, the M3026-VE is a vandal-resistant, outdoor-ready fixed dome with HDTV resolution, and a 106 degree angle of view. It offers true day/night performance.
I anticipate another great ASIS tradeshow. And, as always, stop me if you want to talk about editorial opportunities or contributions. I'm always looking for something new.
