IQinVision Announces Milestone Arcus Technology Partnership

IQinVision recently announced the upcoming launch of a new line of IQeye cameras featuring Milestone Arcus™ embedded video management software (VMS), to provide an intuitive, robust and cost-effective solution that requires little or no maintenance.

Milestone Arcus VMS will run on IQeye cameras, offering a streamlined video management tool that is inexpensive and easy to set up. Using a web browser or mobile device, operators can flexibly manage the surveillance, view live video, search recordings and export video evidence, keeping costs at a minimum by using the IQeye camera's edge capabilities.

Retailers and small businesses in particular will benefit from this new monitoring solution, which eliminates the need for local network video recording servers while still providing the option to connect to a larger network if desired. The mobile viewing capability via iOS and Android™ offers convenience and greater awareness when on the go, enabling any follow-up action to be taken whenever, wherever necessary.

"This new partnership enables us to bring the innovative Milestone Arcus VMS technology into IQinVision's current and future camera families," said Rochak Sharma, Director of Engineering at IQinVision. "Together, we will be able to create elegant and simple-to-use solutions at price points that will appeal to a wide array of customers. This integration also highlights the inherent advantage of IQeye cameras serving as a platform for a variety of powerful on-camera applications."

"We are very excited to leverage the long-term Milestone alliance with IQinVision to take advantage of our newest technology: Milestone Arcus. The big story here is the benefit for businesses with the need for distributed architecture—embedding IQeye cameras with Milestone Arcus VMS lets end users fully utilize the processing power and storage available at the edge, thus decreasing total cost of ownership for their video surveillance installation," said Lars Nordenlund, VP Incubation and Ventures, Milestone Systems.

For IQinVision's customers, on-going development of this combined solution will bring further integration within IQinVision's large and growing ecosystem of partners, offering additional capabilities ranging from analytics to cloud-based services.
