New Iomnis ION Series Servers Powered by OnSSI

New Iomnis ION Series Servers Powered by OnSSIThe new ION Series servers from Iomnis Surveillance Solutions have been specifically engineered to deliver the functionality of OnSSI’s industry leading Ocularis PS Video Management System (VMS). The joint technology venture combines the core expertise of OnSSI and Iomnis to provide a fully integrated video surveillance solution with uncompromised performance and value.

The new ION Series with Ocularis PS is available in two versions: one that accommodates up to 26 IP cameras and a hybrid version that accommodates up to 26 cameras with an on-board encoder to directly connect as many as 16 analog cameras. Both units come preconfigured with 16 camera licenses that are transferable, at no additional cost, from analog to IP cameras on the hybrid version. The integrated system is easily scalable to any size by adding ION Series servers.

Ocularis PS is a full featured VMS with PSIM functionality including centralized management of physical security, content analytic and other systems at multiple sites. Ocularis PS also includes Ocularis Web and Mobile clients to provide remote monitoring and control of up to 16 live or recorded video streams in real-time, at full frame rates, over limited bandwidth.

“By forming this joint technology venture, both OnSSI and Iomnis have applied our core specialties to provide an integrated plug and play video surveillance solution with  extreme performance and value,” said Ken LaMarca, vice president, OnSSI. “This integrated appliance provides a best-in-breed turnkey video surveillance management and recording solution that is ideal for small system and satellite system applications.”

The new ION Series with Ocularis PS comes preconfigured with licenses for 16 cameras and can accommodate a total of up to 26 cameras. This includes up to 16 analog cameras connected directly to the device using an on-board encoder with the balance of ports allocated for IP HD cameras. Users also have the flexibility to deploy a full complement of 26 IP HD cameras. The integrated system is easily scalable to any size.

“By integrating OnSSI’s exceptional Ocularis PS software and our proven SPI benchmarked hardware, we have jointly designed the ION hybrid series which is ideal for the SMB and retail surveillance markets,” said Alan Davis, president, Iomnis Surveillance Solutions. “Maintaining both companies’ open architectural mandates, the ION Series allows for quick and simple analog to IP technology conversion, providing functionality and performance to small system users that may have otherwise not been affordable on this scale.”

The new integrated ION Series preconfigured with Ocularis PS is currently available at ADI Global, Anixter and CSC.
