Samsung 360 Degree Panoramic 3MP Camera Combines Superior Performance and Value

Samsung Techwin’s recently introduced SNF-7010 360° megapixel camera fulfills the industry’s growing demand for wide area surveillance imaging solutions with HD resolution. The SNF-7010 features a 3 megapixel 1080p high definition imaging sensor with a fisheye lens to capture omnidirectional views with up to 120dB Wide Dynamic Range (WDR). Samsung 360 Degree Panoramic 3MP Camera Combines Superior Performance and ValueThe unprecedented WDR allows the SNF-7010 to capture clear images in the varying lighting conditions prevalent in 180° and 360° panoramic scenes. The SNF-7010’s optics also dewarp images in panoramic, quad and focus plus global viewing modes with electronic PTZ operation to provide comprehensive wide area and close-up viewing capabilities with minimal distortion.

“Samsung’s new SNF-7010 360° megapixel camera delivers exceptional performance at a competitive price point, which results in lower total cost of ownership and higher return on investment,” said Frank De Fina, Samsung's senior vice president of sales and marketing, North America. “Its ability to provide HD quality panoramic coverage in virtually any lighting condition improves situational awareness while doing the work of up to four cameras and effectively lowering costs.”

Images captured with the SNF-7010 360° Megapixel Camera can be displayed in a variety of configurations including single panorama, double panorama, quad, single rectangle, original fisheye and user-selectable region. To ensure high quality image capture for live and recorded viewing, the SNF-7010 can transmit streaming video at 20fps at 3 megapixel quality.

A wide range of features are also incorporated into the SNF-7010 to further ensure superior performance, including Samsung’s exclusive Samsung Super Dynamic Range (SSDR) and Samsung Digital Noise Reduction (SSNRIII). The SNF-7010 has a wide dynamic range of 120dB to accommodate a wide range of lighting conditions and offers both H.264 and MJPEG compression technologies. Additional features include: digital PTZ in any display configuration for live and recorded video; bi-directional audio; automatic day/night operation, tamper detection, privacy masking, SDXC memory card support and alarm triggers for motion detection and network disconnection.

The SNF-7010 is also available in indoor and outdoor (SNF-7010V) versions.
