Wearables Startup Cuff Incorporates Security with Jewelry

San Francisco-based startup, Cuff, has created a new line of wearables that incorporates the technology of a personal security system into fashion-forward bracelets, necklaces and key chains.

“The new Cuff collection wearables are more chic than geek, wrapping smart technology into elegant, fashionable pieces that we all want to wear,” said Deepa Sood, Cuff founder.

With a variety of finishes and textures, each piece houses CuffLinc, a tiny, wireless tracker that can be removed and inserted into any of the pieces in the Cuff collection. This technology connects to smartphones to send alerts and receive notifications to and from the wearer’s trusted network with a simple squeeze of the Cuff piece.

CuffLinc never needs to be recharged; simply replace the CuffLinc wireless component once a year.

Preorder is now available with price points of $35, $65 and $125, including a CuffLinc.
