Observint Launches Alibi Product Line

Observint Technologies, a provider of video surveillance, audio surveillance and access control solutions, announced the launch of the company’s new product line, Alibi. Observint Launches Alibi Product LineThe Alibi line delivers the latest in analog and IP technology including cameras, recorders and turn-key systems specifically engineered to provide customers with feature-rich, extremely cost-effective video surveillance solutions that are easy to install and operate.

“The rapid growth in demand for IP security solutions has presented an opportunity for technology providers to develop and introduce simpler, more cost-effective solutions,” said Roger Norman, COO of Observint.  “Our business model is designed to stay ahead of this curve – to bring the latest technology to market faster than our competition.”

The Alibi IP line features 1.3 and 3.0 megapixel IP vandal-proof outdoor dome cameras and bullet cameras that offer Digital Wide Dynamic Range to accommodate for extreme lighting conditions, and an integrated 65-foot SMART IR array for round- the-clock surveillance.

Alibi’s plug-and-play SwitchBox NVRs deliver the benefits of an IP recording solution—without the complexity. The 4-channel and 8-channel NVRs feature an integrated PoE switch that provides power to and collects data from compatible IP cameras via a single CAT5 cable, eliminating the need to purchase and support an external switch.

Completing the Alibi IP line are 2- and 4-camera turn-key systems that include pre-installed, security-grade hard drives, and all cabling and accessories required to operate straight out of the box.  Featuring seamless integration and a simple-to-use, auto-configure function, these solutions are truly as easy to install as analog.  Alibi SwitchBox NVRs and turn-key systems are remotely accessible via a feature-rich, user-friendly smartphone application —Alibi Witness—available free of charge.

“The Alibi line is clearly one of the most exciting solutions we’ve ever offered,” Norman continued.  “It’s not often that a manufacturer can deliver substantial additional value and dramatically reduce customer total cost of ownership, without compromising on quality or functionality.  Alibi does just that…needless to say, we’re thrilled.”

Complementing the IP line, Observint also introduced a comprehensive line of aggressively-priced, analog solutions, allowing the company to meet a broader range of customer application and budget requirements.  The Alibi-branded analog line is user-friendly and feature-rich, and leverages a common user-interface and smartphone application as the SwitchBox NVR.

Alibi solutions are immediately available through Supercircuits and Security Cameras Direct – Observint’s-owned security businesses, and are now supported and sold by each company’s nationwide network of dealers and installer partners.
