MOBOTIX Presents Security Seminars at ISC West 2014
MOBOTIX Corp., a provider of high-resolution, network-based security solutions, will showcase its new 5-megapixel camera platform at the ISC West 2014 conference at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas. At booth #18051, the company will also host a series of presentations throughout the week, offering a closer look at the decentralized approach to surveillance that it pioneered 15 years ago.
MOBOTIX IP surveillance experts will be on hand at the booth to conduct live demonstrations and answer questions at the show scheduled for April 2-4, 2014. The demonstrations cover a wide range of topics including edge-based recording, motion detection, mobile applications and successful selling tips.
“Maintaining a strong security posture is paramount in today’s environment,” said Steve Gorski, General Manager, Americas, MOBOTIX Corp. “The MOBOTIX IP surveillance camera platform helps organizations mitigate security threats by collecting and analyzing video data across its infrastructure. During our presentations at ISC West, we will be providing insight on how to best leverage new technologies to increase safety and tap into the benefits of using video to maximize operations and efficiency.”
The new D25, M25 and Q25 5-megapixel IP camera models deliver high-contrast images without motion blur, even in poorly illuminated environments. As a result, the devices are more light sensitive than previous models and have twice as many pixels as Full HD. The company will also showcase the new M15 Thermal, which includes a sensor that is capable of capturing video in complete or limited darkness. Applications include border protection, marine conditions and perimeter security.
The D25 is a compact dome camera designed for indoor and outdoor use that can also be equipped with vandalism protection. The M25 features a microphone and is designed to withstand extreme weather situations. The hemispheric Q25 delivers 180-degree panorama images with further improved details. This panorama image technology uses a single camera to secure an entire room without any blind spots, ensuring a better overview than several individual cameras.
All MOBOTIX cameras are based on the decentralized concept. All recording can take place internally on an SD card, or externally on a USB stick or via the IP network on NAS hard drives. The recording of the cameras themselves via the network makes it possible to use up to 10 times more cameras per server, compared to the central VMS based recording of the competitors. No PC or additional software is required.
All of the new camera models feature MxActivitySensor, state-of-the-art motion detection built-in to the cameras. This feature facilitates the recording of video or triggers an alarm if an event occurs. Interference caused by weather activity such as passing clouds or snowfall is ignored, reducing the opportunity for false alarms. The motion sensor configures itself automatically.
