PPM Showcasing Perspective Incident Management Software at ISC West

PPM 2000, an authority on incident management, is demonstrating the substantial capabilities of Perspective by PPM, the company’s incident management software platform, at this year’s ISC West show. Perspective provides enterprise security risk management through the software’s dispatching, incident reporting, and analytics capabilities.

“Perspective gives the user the power of big data to respond to, plan, and prepare for incidents,” said Elaine O’Sullivan, president and Co-CEO, PPM. “By documenting relevant information about occurrences, along with associated losses, responses, outcomes, and corrective actions, users can take informed action to anticipate events and maintain a safer environment.”

All four editions of Perspective encompass the software’s core functionality, which includes the user interface, dashboard, search/analysis functionality, reports, and workflow. There is also a web portal, iOS app, and advanced software features including data segregation, system configuration, and integration services. Building on this foundation, PPM has created four editions of Perspective differentiated by the types of events the user needs to manage including: dispatching; activity tracking; incident reporting; and investigation and case management.

Because incident management in all forms requires activity and incident reporting, all four editions of Perspective include the functionality found in the base edition, Perspective AIR. It empowers all personnel across an organization to log activities and document incidents, creating a comprehensive, detail-rich database that can be sorted, searched, and mined for a wide variety of information. Statistical reports, performance metrics, and other reports can be presented in numerous ways and shared among selected locations, departments and employees, with custom alerts available to ensure mission-critical data is delivered where it is needed.

Designed specifically for command and control, Perspective SOC is the edition most chosen by Security Operations Centers. Beyond the efficacy of AIR, SOC enables automated dispatching for effective response to events, making it the best choice for any security group responsible for incident response, documentation, and analysis. With Perspective SOC, it is possible to turn a closed dispatch into an activity or incident report for further follow-up, identify and execute standard operating procedures, and document requests for service from initiation through deployment and response.

The investigations and case management-focused Perspective ICM expands on the tasks performed by AIR with the ability to launch investigations, including assigning investigators, capturing statements, collecting evidence, and tracking expenses. Users can build cases by consolidating related incident and investigation records into a single project for comprehensive tracking, analysis, and reporting.

PPM’s enterprise incident management edition, Perspective EIM, delivers all the features, benefits, and advantages of the software’s other three editions for organizations that require the most comprehensive end-to-end incident management suite. For ground force personnel, first responders, command and control, and investigative groups, Perspective EIM gives users the ability to react, track, analyze, report, and investigate, providing the most complete software solution for responding to, reporting on, and analyzing enterprise security events from dispatches to activities, from incidents to investigations.

All four editions of Perspective offer mobility, workflow and dynamic link analysis. Highly customizable, Perspective can be configured for a single location or implemented worldwide, dedicated to corporate security or expanded across multiple departments.
