Quantum Secure Now Manages More Than 5 Million Identities With Its SAFE Software Suite

Quantum Secure, a provider of enterprise software to streamline physical identity and access management across multiple systems, is marking five consecutive years of hyper growth with more than five million identities now managed by its flagship software suite globally. New customer wins in a number of markets, new partner relationships, a strong roster of products and launch of the upgraded SAFE Software Suite Version 4.8 are featured topics of interest at ISC West.

"Quantum Secure had an incredible 2013 fiscal year marked by extraordinary company growth and improved safety and security of our customers and their employees," said Ajay Jain, President and CEO, Quantum Secure. "Key channel partnerships drove expansion into new markets like Sweden, Brazil and Latin America, the Middle East, India and Africa along with the launch of new cutting edge products and a new version of our SAFE software. The addition of several Global 2000 companies as customers is also solidifying our leadership position in the market with mainstream acceptance of our value proposition."

Over the last year, Quantum Secure has experienced rapid adoption of its Physical Identity & Access Management (PIAM) technology with additional deployments for customers including Storstockholms Lokaltrafik AB, United Health Group, Verizon, AT&T, eBay, Maxim Semiconductor, Debswana Diamond Company Ltd, Allina Health, Portland Airport, Massachusetts Port Authority with all Boston-based airports, Port of Houston, Oakridge National Lab, Idaho National Lab, etc. Existing customers including Adobe, Symantec, Oracle, the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs, the US Dept. of Energy and Visa International along with others expanded their footprints with additional SAFE suite software components.

Among the many new customer projects noted by Quantum Secure this year are an intelligent patient visitor management system for Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) and Texas Children's Hospital, a 100% paperless Aviation Physical Identity Management and Credentialing process for Phoenix Sky Harbor airport and a next generation mobile-based Visitor Identity Management system for eBay. The company continues to collaborate with best-in-class technology and VAR partners.

Among the new products and features being showcased in Quantum Secure's ISC West booth is the new and upgraded PIAM product suite – SAFE Version 4.8 that delivers new functionality, further empowering organizations to manage and control their physical identities (employees, contractors and visitors) and their related physical access permissions within a risk based paradigm. The PIAM product suite – SAFE 4.8 centrally manages physical identities and access across diverse physical and IT security systems, ensuring physical access governance and compliance. Upgraded SAFE 4.8 features include an easy-to-use reporting dashboard, mobile visitor check-in, a financial module that can track security transactions for contractor and multi-tenant invoicing and visitor scheduling for busy badge offices.

SAFE Version 4.8 also introduces SAFE for Mobile Solutions with a unique approach to automating physical security operations focused on connecting security departments with their customers, improving productivity and increasing satisfaction for the end user. Customer centric apps include new employee and contractor on-boarding, visitor registration, access changes and approvals or access audits, lost or stolen badge reporting, access requests and more. Apps focusing specifically on the security department include functionality for visitor management, mobile badging, NDA signatures, alarm and identity metrics, search and verify personnel and more. All SAFE for Mobile apps leverage the reliable and secure SAFE policy engine to ensure continual process management and compliance for security personnel, and are available on iOS, Android, and Windows platforms.

SAFE Compliance Regulator is enhanced in the new version of SAFE 4.8 suite. SAFE enables regulation-mandated compliance with periodic audit requirements relating to physical identities and access. Users can configure scheduled or on-demand reviews and audits of identities and their physical access through a self-service portal. Automated actions include audit triggering, task creation for confirmation or removal of access, task performance in real-time in the PACS (physical access control system) and audit report generation. SAFE Attestation & Audit includes built-in workflows for notifications, reminders and escalations. Users and security administrators can create their own "internal control" policy definition to continue to regulate their physical access and identity lifecycle paradigm.

Remote or traveling reviews are faster with email-based approval and denial of physical access requests with the new SAFE Version 4.8. Users can now build spatial hierarchy for accurate, nested access provisioning. Version 4.8 also provides support for location-based NDAs, escort sign-in/-out with visitor check-in/-out and multiple self-service improvements including user-reported lost cards, picture upload and submit bulk request.

A number of strong new infrastructural systems components are integral to the new release of SAFE 4.8 and include multi-language support to aid customers' global operations. The SAFE rules engine has been upgraded to incorporate priority message processing based upon a defined set of conditions. This feature will allow customers to process certain transactions (for example, urgent terminations) on a priority basis. The SAFE 4.8 rules engine now also supports parallel and concurrent processing of transactions to physical access control systems (PACS) agents for faster processing of data and messages, giving users faster and more effective data handling capabilities. SAFE 4.8 also includes a Self Health Monitoring agent to monitor critical SAFE related interfaces and operations and provide immediate notification of any delays or service failures.

The SAFE 4.8 release upgrade supports the latest releases of Server, Client and Database platforms and bolsters support of mobile client platforms.
