33 P.F. Chang Restaurants Affected in Data Breach

33 P.F. Chang Restaurants Affected in Data BreachP.F. Chang’s China Bistro announced today that a security breach may have led to the theft of customer data from credit and debit cards used at 33 restaurants.

The attack was originally reported in June, and now the restaurant chain thinks that an intruder may have stolen card numbers and possibly names and expiration dates of customer’s credit and debit cards according to a story.

The security breach of their card processing systems occurred between October 19th of 2013, and June 11th of 2014, one day after the Secret Service made the company aware of the breach. An internal investigation by P.F. Chang’s staff (as well as forensic data experts from a third party) determined the 33 locations and specific date time frames the card processing system was compromised for each.

Those that have dined at any of the listed locations between the aforementioned dates have been advised to review financial records in order to determine if any fraudulent activity has occurred since that time.
