The Fayetteville Police Department is still looking for a suspect who set two trucks on fire near the University of Arkansas on Aug. 25, according to a report. One of the trucks belonged to Brandon Allen, the quarterback of the Arkansas Razorbacks.
Police plan to interview the Allen when he returns to the university next week, and they have already interviewed the owner of the second truck, Eli Mattioli.
No suspect has been named yet, and police are struggling to find the culprit due to the type of crime. Most of the evidence, they say, gets burned up in the trucks. In order to combat these difficulties, the police are scanning the surveillance tapes of local businesses to try and find the suspect.
The landlord of the apartment complex where Allen’s car was burned has also said they will be installing cameras around the area in the hopes of preventing a crime of this nature from happening again.
