Honeywell Announces Expanded Vista Panel Support Capability for Crestron Dealers

Honeywell announced new compatibility that will allow automation professionals to more efficiently integrate security features using VISTA panels with Crestron controlled homes and buildings.

A new software driver for Honeywell’s 4232 Connected Building Module (CBM) enables the company’s widely used VISTA security panels to work with Crestron’s line of 2- and 3-Series control systems, using a single interface. This integration also allows VISTA keypads to be emulated directly on Crestron touch screens used everywhere – from living rooms to building lobbies – to control lighting, shades, heating/cooling, alarm systems and more.

“Honeywell and Crestron have supported each other for many years through interfacing capabilities,” said Alan Stoddard, senior marketing director, Honeywell. “Now more of our products are optimized for interoperability, broadening the range of products dealers can offer their customers when creating a connected experience.”

The new software driver enables full keypad emulation for most residential and commercial Honeywell VISTA panels. The driver also improves the speed of communication between VISTA panels and Crestron control systems, providing a seamless, instantaneous customer experience.

“Honeywell and Crestron are two of the most widely used technologies in both homes and commercial buildings,” said Dominick Accurso, integrated partner program manager, Crestron. “Interest in connected homes and buildings is at an all-time high, and the integration between the two companies gives installation professionals a chance to add value to the home and distinguish their offerings.”
