Chris Meiter to Lead Salient Systems as President

Salient Systems Corporation is pleased to announce that Chris Meiter has been appointed president of the company. Meiter will report directly to Salient Systems CEO Bob Wilbur.

Meiter has been with Salient Systems since 2009 and has been the driving force behind the significant growth the company has experienced since his arrival. He has been a tactical and visionary leader with a deep understanding of the industry and a keen ability to identify and assess market potential, develop sales strategies and establish market leadership. Prior to joining Salient, Meiter was Director of Business Development for Honeywell Video where he was responsible for Honeywell’s Key Vertical Markets, international sales management in Europe, Asia and South Africa, and developed Honeywell’s Digital Video sales program.

In his new role, Meiter will provide leadership to continue to position Salient Systems in the forefront of the physical security industry, direct the management team to implement strategies for growth, drive strategic product development and oversee the corporate objectives for revenue and profitability.

“Chris Meiter is a highly-respected leader within the industry,” commented Bob Wilbur, CEO. “No one understands the dynamics and driving forces for growth and success better than Chris. His experience and dedication position him perfectly to accelerate our growth and take advantage of the extraordinary opportunities we see in the market,”

“It’s a great privilege to be asked to lead Salient Systems to accelerate our growth and brand recognition,” said Meiter. “We have seen significant technological changes in the industry over the last few years that have impacted the way companies do business. Salient Systems is uniquely positioned to take advantage of these new technologies to provide security solutions for today and tomorrow.”
