Infinova Signed Agreement to Acquire Swann Communications Pty Ltd

Infinova announced today that it has signed an agreement to acquire Swann Communications Pty Ltd, an Australian company.

Infinova has been a high end leader in high definition, networked intelligent, business value added video solutions. In addition to general commercial and industrial markets, the company also excels in such vertical markets as Safe City, banking, franchised retailers and transportation.

Swann, with its head office based in Port Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and offices in the US, UK and Hong Kong, is a pioneer in Do-It-Yourself (DIY) solutions for both home and small businesses. Swann’s offerings include security, video surveillance and smart home systems and products that can be installed by the end user as well security system installers. Swann provides bundled video surveillance systems and equipment that includes video cameras, infrared cameras, digital video recorders, network video recorders, video monitors and related installation components.

Swann was established in 1987 and pioneered the DIY video surveillance markets in North America, Australia and Europe and is the leader in this category. Its products are customized to meet different customers’ requirements derived from extensive customer user group experiences.

The Swann executive management team has extensive experience in the security, technology, consumer and retail markets. The Swann brand is respected and well known in the consumer market and the company has excellent product and brand awareness.

Infinova sells products directly to System Integrators while Swann mainly sells through approximately 15,000 big box retail stores as well as from direct and partner e-commerce websites.

It is envisioned that Swann will continue to drive product requirements, develop high level product design and then leverage Infinova’ s expertise in final product development and manufacturing.
