Bosch Receives Expanded Lenel Factory Certification

Bosch Security Systems has received factory certification from Lenel Systems International for interfacing its IP cameras with the Lenel Network Video Recorder (NVR) 7.1. Operators can view live and recorded video from Bosch IP cameras using Lenel NVR 7.1 and can control and configure the cameras from within the Lenel OnGuard access control system. In addition, the ruggedized MIC IP 7000 HD pan-tilt-zoom cameras have been newly certified.

“Bosch has completed required factory testing at Lenel to validate the functionality of its interface to the Lenel NVR 7.1,” said Gidon Lissai, director of strategic alliances, Lenel. “By expanding the number of IP video devices supported by the Lenel NVR, Bosch is keeping pace with our ongoing product enhancements. We look forward to their continued involvement in the Lenel OpenAccess Alliance Program.”

With the certification of the MIC IP 7000 HD, customers now have an option for HD imaging in difficult outdoor locations and other challenging environments. The MIC cameras combine high-quality HD imaging with an IP68/NEMA 6P-rated IP architecture. They withstand harsh conditions including rain, snow, high wind gusts, significant vibration and temperatures that range from minus 40 to 60 degrees Celsius.

These cameras, as well as the extensive portfolio of Bosch IP cameras certified with Lenel NVR 7.1, feature Content Based Imaging Technology (CBIT) to tailor camera settings to scene contents. Depending on movement and varying light intensity, the camera settings are continuously and dynamically adjusted to ensure optimal exposure of objects of interest while reducing bit rate by up to 50 percent. As a result, storage costs and network strain are reduced significantly without compromising video quality.

“We work diligently to ensure our products are certified with the latest versions of Lenel systems,” said Brad Eck, integration manager, North America, Bosch Security Systems. “This enables customers to take advantage of new facility management features from Lenel and imaging advancements from Bosch that aid in improving overall security. Interfacing our detailed video streams with Lenel NVR gives OnGuard platform users the visual information they need to understand circumstances surrounding events in the system, which, in turn, helps them respond more accurately and efficiently.”
