Vidsys Innovates Software Platform

Vidsys, a provider of enterprise Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, announced the next stage of evolution of its award winning, web-enabled software platform to include the convergence of physical and cyber security along with information management solutions.

“Our intelligent, browser-based software can turn massive amounts of data into meaningful and actionable information that can be used to deliver holistic risk management for organizations globally,” said James Chong, CEO and founder.  “We are adding advanced capabilities to integrate, monitor and assess external threats and vulnerabilities through seamless data visualization and business intelligence dashboards.”

“With these improvements along with the ability to integrate and present social media feeds and big data analytics, we are redefining the PSIM category and driving the market toward what we call Converged Security and Information Management or CSIM,” Chong said. “We are disrupting the market to be the first to provide our customers with a converged security and risk management platform that is also well positioned to drive solutions around the Internet of Things (IoT) by leveraging our proven PSIM platform.”

Vidsys software is already flexible, scalable and supports mobility. Enhancements in the next release of the software will include:

  • Graphical User Interface (GUI) refresh
  • Enterprise Data Visualization (EDV) including external vulnerability and threat assessment
  • Enterprise Business Intelligence (EBI) dynamic trending and reporting in real time
  • Improved map display modules including 3D support
  • Improved performance and diagnostics tools
  • Continued Internationalization (i18n)

Frost & Sullivan senior consultant for Aerospace, Defense and Security Anthony Leather, shared additional insight on the changing market, “The growth of web-enabled security technology and information available to law enforcement and security officials has seen rapid growth over the last few years. The ability to consolidate, analyze and comprehend data from various sources on a scalable level to facilitate greater situational awareness and allow a real time response will be a key requirement in the security market moving forward.”
