Securitron Secures Perimeters with New GL1 Gate Lock

Securitron, an ASSA ABLOY Group brand, is introducing the new and improved GL1 Electromechanical Gate Lock, providing weather-resistant access control for a variety of gate applications.

The GL1 is ideal for commercial, industrial and high security applications such as swinging, sliding vehicle, pedestrian, stock, and remote field gates as well as interior cribs. The 2,000 lbs. holding force electromechanical gate solution now supports a standard mortise cylinder, which enables a key override to be used if necessary. It also includes a self-aligning receiver enabling it to handle 100 lbs. of pre-load. The updated GL1 is now available in four easy to install models: standard fail locked, standard fail safe, fail locked monitored and fail safe monitored.

ASSA ABLOY is known for providing security solutions for every access control scenario, including outdoor perimeter control for building exteriors and gates. In addition to the Securitron GL1, also featured in the ASSA ABLOY booth is the newly redesigned HES 9600 Series electric strike, which is frequently installed in outdoor applications. Paired with a rim exit device, the outdoor rated 9600 is the ideal access control solution for school playgrounds, hotel and apartment complex pools, or any area with an access control requirement.

“Listening to the integrators who are installing our products every day has always been paramount to innovation in this industry,” said Michael A. Webb, vice president new product development and marketing for ASSA ABLOY Group brands Securitron and HES. “Delivering customer feedback to our engineers continually results in superior solutions and enabled us to enhance both the Securitron GL1 and HES 9600 electric strike.”
