Google Disables Flash Due to Security Concerns

Mozilla also disabled the web-enabled video software

According to a report, Mozilla’s Firefox and Google’s Chrome browsers blocked old versions of Adobe’s Flash software following reports that hackers were using a security bug to take over peoples’ computers. Flash is animation software that is used to play online videos.

This comes two days after Facebook’s top security executive, Alex Stamos, called on Adobe to discontinue Flash due to its security flaws and knack for slowing down websites. An Italian hacking firm has also recently exploited a flaw in Flash.
