Upgrade with Adams Rite at ALOA 2015 Security Expo

Adams Rite, an ASSA ABLOY Group company, is exhibiting its newest electronic access control solutions for the locksmith community at the ALOA 2015 Security Expo. The company is highlighting electrified options that are simple to install and result in vastly improved access control at ASSA ABLOY booth #101 in the Reno Events Center, July 24-25.

Three important upgrades that Adams Rite will focus on are; using the Dual Force 2190 Interconnected Deadbolt/Deadlatch for a narrow stile aluminum entrance to satisfy single motion egress code requirements; installing the e-Force 3090P/C (Prox/iClass) Keyless Entry, that features a contactless card reader that adds access control to a mechanical exit device, deadlock, or deadlatch by interfacing with any Wiegand-compatible access control system; and electrifying a storefront opening (while using existing trim) in the easiest way possible – with the Steel Hawk 4300 Electrified Deadlatch (eLatch). Additionally, Adams Rite will be demonstrating the RITE Touch solution for all-glass openings.

“This year at ALOA, Adams Rite is focused on upgrading existing mechanical security to electrified solutions that are both simple and time-saving,” said Wendy Bowman, marketing communications director, EMS & OEM Group, ASSA ABLOY. “We’re bringing a variety of electrified options to the table and encourage locksmiths to come learn more about these new options and how easily they can upgrade their offerings.”

During the show, attendees will also have an opportunity to show their skill with a timed installation of a Steel Hawk 4300 Electrified Deadlatch - the easiest way to electrify narrow stile aluminum and glass doors in the field. Visit booth 101 during show hours July 24 and 25 to try and score the fastest time! The winner with the fastest time will receive two airline vouchers worth $400 each. Those who cannot attend, can video themselves installing a 4300 - and submit it to be entered into a drawing to receive an Adams Rite Swag Pack. Tweet the video to @adamsrite, upload to the Adams Rite Facebook page facebook.com/adamsrite or email Adams Rite atcanyoufly@adamsrite.com to enter.

The Security Professionals Showroom (SPS) will also be open for tours during the expo, showing a diverse array of new and legacy ASSA ABLOY products.

  • Gaining a Competitive Edge

Ask most companies about their future technology plans and the answers will most likely include AI. Then ask how they plan to deploy it, and that is where the responses may start to vary. • The Stage is Set

The security industry spans the entire globe, with manufacturers, developers and suppliers on every continent (well, almost—sorry, Antarctica). That means when regulations pop up in one area, they often have a ripple effect that impacts the entire supply chain. Recent data privacy regulations like GDPR in Europe and CPRA in California made waves when they first went into effect, forcing businesses to change the way they approach data collection and storage to continue operating in those markets. Even highly specific regulations like the U.S.’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) can have international reverberations – and this growing volume of legislation has continued to affect global supply chains in a variety of different ways.
