ASIS International to Honor Military, Law Enforcement, & Emergency Medical Technicians at ASIS 2015

ASIS continues its tradition of honoring military and law enforcement professionals as well as emergency services professionals during its Annual Seminar and Exhibits. All active duty personnel are eligible to register for the complimentary one-day admission on Wednesday, Sept. 30, which is designated as Law Enforcement/Military Appreciation Day at the ASIS International 61st Annual Seminar and Exhibits (ASIS 2015).

ASIS 2015 will take place Sept. 28–Oct. 1 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Ca. More than 20,000 attendees from both the public and private sectors will convene to acquire timely and valuable industry information, make connections, and explore the latest technology solutions available.

Active law enforcement, military, and EMTs are granted free admission to all of the day’s educational programs, including a keynote presentation by General Michael Hayden, Former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency and Former Director of the National Security Agency at 8:00 am.

Many high-quality education sessions on key topics of interest including terrorism, active shooters, digital forensics, video surveillance integrity, incident management, background checks, and public private partnerships are available on Sept. 30 and are included with this special one-day registration. A popular session at 1:45 pm, “Military and Law Enforcement Transitions: Strategies for Success” will explore key aspects of transitioning into the private sector.

The one-day registration includes networking opportunities with peers from across industries along with access to the exhibit hall showcasing cutting-edge technology and services from more than 600 companies. Access to the ASIS and (ISC)2 Career Center, where attendees will be able to take advantage of all the career-related services and how-to sessions, includes transitioning into the private sector and daily panel sessions on career development topics.

New this year, Coffee & Conversation: Transitioning Networking Event will be held in the Career Center from 9:00-11:00 am. Those transitioning to security are invited to join employers, ASIS leadership, and members of the ASIS Transitions Council, Military Liaison Council, and Law Enforcement Liaison Council to gain insights on transitioning, career opportunities, and peer-to-peer advice and relationship building. Attendees should bring their resume and business cards. All ASIS 2015 attendees are welcome to attend.

A Law Enforcement/Military Appreciation Day Luncheon will be held Sept. 30. Tickets can be purchased on-site at ASIS Registration or in advance online ($50).

To take advantage of this special offer, military, law enforcement, and EMT personnel should register on-site at ASIS Registration at the Anaheim Convention Center. An official government or military photo ID is required.
