Gallagher and LifeSafety Power Partner on UL-listed Power Solution

LifeSafety Power and Gallagher have announced a partnership to integrate Underwriters Laboratories (UL)-listed powered cabinets into Gallagher’s leading access control solution.

Gallagher, a provider of integrated access control, intruder alarms management and perimeter protection, now incorporates a LifeSafety Power enclosure as part of the company’s access control product suite.

“Offering our systems integrators a UL-listed enclosure provides them the opportunity to specify even more jobs because of the additional compliance factor,” said Kahl Betham, Gallagher’s Global general manager - security. “It opens the door to projects they may not previously have been able to bid for.”

Gallagher’s LSP Powered Cabinets come pre-configured with power supply and access control distribution modules for a complete, turnkey product specification. The optional back plates and brackets included in the LSP enclosure are designed specifically for Gallagher equipment. Capable of providing two power outputs, user-selectable for 12 or 24VDC, the units include two models: LSP E2 Cabinet, 6A PSU-C305720 and LSP E4 Cabinet, 12A PSU-C305721. Both cabinets are available exclusively to Gallagher’s North and South American customers, and meet ULC Standards for Canada as well.

“Partnering with global access control leader Gallagher brings a significant value-add to our solution,” said Larry Ye, president and chief executive officer of LifeSafety Power Inc. “The UL listing achieved with this turnkey solution will help systems integrators win more jobs. With the addition of LifeSafety Power network modules, systems integrators are now able to offer the advantage of intelligent remote monitoring to users.”
