Plenty to See at ASIS

As ASIS 2015 gets underway in Anaheim, Calif., there is plenty for visitors to see and do. Here is a sampling of products to see and educational opportunities on the show floor.

Hikvision will be presenting their Thought Theater, where live presentations with their engineers will be discussing Smart IP and TurboHD product families. They will also tackle the best practices for cybersecurity. They also have a game show going on, giving away cameras to some lucky participants.

Edwards is showcasing a variety of mass notification solutions, ideal for use at colleges, universities, corporate campuses and hospitals. These solutions integrate into their emergency preparedness plans.

IdentiSys, involved in the identification, card issuance and emergency response industry recently purchased LINSTAR, a well-known security systems integrator based in New York.

Bosch is coming to ASIS with their new B465 universal dual-path communicator for enabling dialer-based fire or intrusion control panels to use modern IP or cellular communication formats.

Arecont Vision, based up the road from Anaheim, in Glendale, has two new IP megapixel camera series, and a powerful new camera setup and configuration software. Look for their MicroDome G2 and MegaVideo G2 cameras.

EIZO will be featuring its DuraVision FDF2306W, 23-inch full HD monitor. This is a big deal because it is technology that will improve clarity for control room operators.

This is a quick sketch of what is on the showroom floor. There is so much more, and additional reports as ASIS gets underway.
