The Next Generation of Security and Bag Check

We may have finally found a more efficient way of getting through airport security. Thanks to Qylur’s brand new Qylatron Entry Experience Solution, we could be looking at the new generation of security efforts where someone doesn’t have to poke around in your bags.

The Qylatron scans a visitor’s ticket, and then directs the user to one of five microwave-sized pods to drop off any bags. The visitor can then move through the metal detector on the side and scan the ticket once more to open the pod and retrieve his or her items. If something suspicious is detected, the user will be locked out of the pod and security will be alerted to do a more thorough check.

Bags are examined within the Qylatron using a combination of x-rays, chemical sensors, and a machine Al, making for a much more sophisticated system than those currently in place at larger venues or airports. Qylur claims that the technology can scan 600 passengers, with one bag each, in just one hour. The machine also only requires four human operatives.

The honeycomb-like machine is currently being tested at Levi’s Stadium, home to the 49ers and some of the most advanced technology in the sports world – thanks to Silicon Valley.

Already operational in Disneyland Paris, the Qylatron has a bright future ahead. TSA recently launched an 18-month trial for the Qylatron to be implemented in airports across the country. The days of being held up in line at the airport because one person forgot to throw out their over sized lotion may be over sooner than we thought.
