CPSG Names Brian Huitt Chairman of the Board & Ross Porter President and Chief Operating Officer

Controlled Products Systems Group (CPSG) announced today the appointment of Brian Huitt, CEO, to the additional role of Chairman of the Board. Huitt has 25 years of experience in the industry and co-founded a division of CPSG. His role on the board will allow him greater influence on the company’s long-term strategic vision.

Additionally, Ross Porter was named President and Chief Operating Officer.

“Ross’ unique skill set, combined with his understanding of our business, makes him a superb fit with our organization,” said Huitt. “We are very fortunate to have him on our team.”

Porter has been instrumental to CPSG as an advisor since the company’s acquisition by The Duchossois Group in the fall of 2014.

Porter brings a wealth of experience to CPSG, having served over 25 years at consumer durables companies in roles spanning general management, operations and finance. As President of Irwin Tools, home of the well-known Vise-Grip® brand, he created significant organic and acquisitive value.

“CPSG’s customer-centric culture and focus on delivering value-added service and support makes them the best source for perimeter access solutions,” said Porter. “I am excited to be supporting the growth and success of the business.”

The company plans to strategically expand its footprint and continue to get closer to customers to help them drive their businesses forward. Maintaining a reputation for supplying safe and reliable perimeter access solutions, CPSG is incorporating new technologies into product and system offerings.

“Adding Ross to our organization signifies CPSG’s dedication to leadership in our market,” said Huitt. “I am excited for his continued contributions.”
