Day 2 at ASIS 2016 featured new product reveals and award presentations, as well as many other exciting moments.

Alert Enterprise was presented a New Product of the Year award in the Internet of Things category for its bAlert Security Commander product, while Salient Systems was given its award in the Video Surveillance Data Storage category for the RED3 Integrated Server 16 Port/24 Port which is on display at the show.

Salient Systems also entertained customers and partners during a cocktail reception on the show floor Tuesday afternoon, while showing off products like the LPRTracker, an LPR tracker integrated with CompleteView Video Management Systems. The system allows clear and actionable video evidence to pair with license plate detection events.

Open Options unveiled a live demo of its award-winning Mercury MS Software House Bridge while at ASIS 2016. The bridge allows Software House customers to migrate to an open hardware platform and create a choice in access control software.  The product is also a winner of the New Product of the Year award contest, winning in the Access Control Software/Controllers category.

“We’re excited to join with Mercury in offering yet another joint open-platform access control solution, “said Open Options Vice President of Marketing Brent Doherty. “We continually work with leading security providers to develop integrations that give end users a choice in their access control products and we are proud to be one of the few ASIS 2016 participants offering a hands on demonstration of this award-winning product.”

Protection 1 kept attracting attendees at its booth by giving away a VR headset, the second high-tech product given away to those who entered. Day one of the show saw a drone given away in the afternoon. Protection 1 has a number of whitepapers and case studies they have been promoting during the show, all available on its website.

The Valerus VMS is still the star of the show over at the Vicon Industries booth, but they have a number of products available, including IP cameras, video storage and access control. The recent merger between Vicon and IQinVision has added a wide range of high-resolution IP cameras into the Vicon line of products. Be sure to check out booth #1426 to learn more.
