Pivot3 Expands Investment in Canadian Market with Two Industry Veterans

Hyperconverged infrastructure technology leader hires two seasoned industry professionals with deep experience in the region.

Pivot3, the technology leader of hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions for the modern datacenter, today announced the hiring of accomplished sales leaders Grant Aitken and Ian Clarke to expand the delivery of Pivot3’s products into the Canadian marketplace, which already includes several high-profile customers in the private and public sectors.

With nearly 50 years of combined sales, channel and business development experience in the IT industry, Aitken and Clarke will develop and execute Pivot3’s sales strategy in the region to further position the company as a leader in the hyperconverged market and help accelerate the company’s rapid growth.

Grant Aitken, Country Manager

Grant Aitken has spent a majority of his career guiding major technology vendors through the process of expanding into Canada by developing market-entry and channel delivery strategies, and joins Pivot3 as the country manager for Canada. As area vice president for nearly a decade at VMware, Aitken was responsible for all sales operations in the country. Aitken also spent 15 years in the infrastructure software space helping private cloud, virtualization and thin-client vendors establish and sustain a presence in the region.

“The Canadian market is ripe for an HCI solution, and I’m convinced that Pivot3’s product flexibility, ability to run multiple workloads and customer-centric approach is exactly what Canadian enterprises need,” said Aitken. “Pivot3 has already experienced impressive sales growth in the region, and I look forward to scaling this for continued momentum and expansion.”

Ian Clarke, Regional Sales Director

Ian Clarke joins Pivot3 as regional sales director, having spent his career focused on bringing early-stage technology companies into Canada with strategies to increase brand awareness and build sustainable revenue. Clarke has previously held positions with both HCI and flash storage vendors, and has deep experience and expertise in working closely with a broad ecosystem of local VARs, integrators and resellers to support market momentum and product adoption.

“HCI is the future of IT infrastructure, and Pivot3 is consistently winning with its underlying architecture and superior performance, efficiency and scale,” said Clarke. “Many regional businesses are discovering this competitive edge, and I expect to see continued adoption of HCI in the region as we bring Pivot3’s dynamic portfolio of solutions into the Canadian market.”

“Pivot3 is seeing tremendous growth and additional opportunity in Canada, and this expansion of our leadership team reflects our dedication to customers and channel partners in the region,” said Jamie Lerner, chief revenue officer of Pivot3. “Ian and Grant bring impressive industry experience, a track record of success and are already making an impact in their new roles. We’re happy to have them on board.”
