SDC Growth Spurs Key Hires for 2017 to Meet Market Demand

After experiencing a banner year for revenue growth in 2016, SDC (Security Door Controls) renewed its commitment to meet the growing market demand for its innovative line of mechanical hardware and electronic access control security product solutions by hiring new employees in several key sales and marketing positions.

“Because we exceeded our sales goals in 2016, it became increasingly clear that we needed to add resources to meet the market demand and continue to support, grow and service our valued resellers,” said Shane Geringer, SDC’s Vice President of Marketing, Sales, and Strategic Development. “We’re very excited to expand our roster of experienced and successful sales and marketing people from within our industry.”

“We also made some strategic moves to not only allow us to extend the reach of our sales and marketing capabilities, but to also allow us to go deeper with each valued customer and ultimately help them increase sales of SDC products through more targeted initiatives, more collaboration, and coordination of shared efforts,” added Shane.

To that end, SDC increased its Regional Sales management team to three from two – dividing the US into Western, Central and Eastern regions. SDC and industry veteran, Brent Maynard, retained his responsibility for the newly formed Western Sales Region, giving him added bandwidth to institute more programs and interact with new account opportunities in the region. Door hardware industry sales veteran Mary Hester has been tapped as SDC’s new Central Regional Sales Manager. Access control systems sales and product management veteran Chris Donohue is now SDC’s new Eastern Regional Sales Manager.  Finally, SDC brought on experienced access control marketer, Olga Iakomi, as its new Marketing and Events Facilitator, to bolster trade show execution, social media programming and customer liaison activities. Here’s a little more detail about SDC’s new hires:

His experience with access control locking hardware makes him a valuable resource for providing product training, project specification assistance & application support on behalf of SDC and its large product line (over 250 SKU’s). Brent began his security industry career at a hardware manufacturer in 1987 as an inside sales manager after a 4-year stint in the United States Marine Corps.
