SALTO released its next generation of wire-free electronic escutcheons with Mifare, DESfire, HID, and iClass electronic locks with SVN, and the first wireless access control system that combined a stand-alone locking device with online, real-time capabilities – all without using wires or mechanical keys.

SALTO continues to innovate leading-edge technologies and offers a range of hardware and software products to accommodate the full spectrum of access control and building management needs. Products include XS4 electronic escutcheons, GEO electronic cylinders, the sleek and stylish AElement RFID lock, the XS4 2.0 Mini, plus a variety of online wall readers, door controllers, and accessories. The latest advances in mobile technology include JustIN Mobile that makes it easy and secure to incorporate smartphones into an enterprise’s access control system. SALTO security management software, ProAccess SPACE, allows businesses to manage access control and a wide variety of operational functions from one powerful platform.

SALTO hardware and software can be networked without wires to provide real-time intelligence and instant control, and easily integrates with existing systems to improve manageability and enhance the end-user experience. SALTO products are in use in more than 14,000 installations – across 90 countries – with an estimated 14 million daily users.

Over the years, significant advancements have been made in video coding standards — including H.263, MPEG formats, and H.264—alongside compression optimization technologies developed by IP video manufacturers to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality. The open-source AV1 codec developed by the Alliance for Open Media—a consortium including Google, Netflix, Microsoft, Amazon and others — is already the preferred decoder for cloud-based applications, and is quickly becoming the standard for video compression of all types.
