Dahua Technology USA Unveils Industry’s First Multi-Sensor Camera for Coaxial Infrastructure

Dahua Technology is bringing wide panoramic views to HD over coax solutions with a groundbreaking multi-sensor camera that cuts installation time, lowers costs, and reduces clutter for improved aesthetics. A leading manufacturer of video surveillance solutions proven the world over, Dahua has introduced the industry’s first 6MP camera to combine HDCVI 3.0 technology with a multi-sensor format.

The new HDCVI 3.0 6MP panoramic multi-sensor IR bullet camera houses three individual 2MP sensors in an all-in-one IP67 weather resistant indoor/outdoor housing. Providing the same coverage that would typically be provided by multiple standard cameras in the same setting, the multi-sensor minimizes maintenance, cabling and support costs, and installation time. With four BNC outputs, the camera delivers a single, stitched, 180-degree panoramic view without distortion, and can also display three individual HD views at the same time.

“As a pioneer in technologies designed to breathe new life into outdated coax cable systems, we’re excited to introduce this groundbreaking camera to the market,” said Jennifer Hackenburg, senior product marketing manager for Dahua USA. “By combining three 2MP sensors to create a comprehensive 180-degree overview, Dahua has once again offered a higher value to installers, saving as much as two-thirds installation time for an increased return on investment.”

Embedded with an IR cut filter for varying lighting conditions and 120dB of Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), the camera provides excellent images at any time of day. For challenging low-light applications, the HDCVI 3.0 Multi-Sensor IR Bullet camera offers Starlight technology, capturing color details in low light down to 0.007 lux, resulting in stunningly clear images in very dark environments. Each sensor features a 3.6mm fixed manual lens and an integrated infrared illuminator up to 20 meters (66 feet).
