New Galaxy Cloud Concierge Delivers Managed Access and Monitoring

Galaxy Control Systems, a provider of integrated access control and security solutions, is unveiling its new Galaxy Cloud Concierge solution today at ISC West. More than just a hosted access control solution, Galaxy Cloud Concierge is a complete turnkey, cloud-based, fully hosted and managed access control and monitoring solution that includes professional 24/7 management and supports industry standard access technologies.

“Security professionals – both channel and end users – are recognizing the operational and cost benefits of a hosted collaborative access control solution,” said Rick Caruthers, Executive Vice President, Galaxy Control Systems. “With Cloud Concierge, we’ve reduced the complexity to allow resellers to comfortably sell a cost-effective solution to their base without having to assume responsibilities associated with system monitoring and management.”

To accommodate the wide variety of user budgets and needs, Galaxy Control Systems is offering Cloud Concierge in three configurations:

  • Option one is an on-site, user-managed, cloud-based system. The customer purchases (or leases) the equipment from an authorized reseller/integrator who installs the system and provides training.
  • Option two is a remote cloud-based, user-managed integrated system. Equipment is purchased or leased from an authorized reseller/integrator who installs the hardware and provides training. The reseller hosts the integrated system with Galaxy System tools, including the mobile apps, and the user manages the activity.
  • Option three is a remote cloud-based, reseller/integrator managed integrated system. Equipment can be existing or new, and the reseller both hosts the system and manages the activity.

The security of the data is ensured with AES encryption. Multi-layered filtering/partitioning allows the end user to access only their information (cardholders, access groups, hardware, etc.), while the service provider can have full access to all customers. The Launchpoint cloud client is the user interface for the Cloud Concierge system.

Services such as Cloud Concierge, present significant opportunities for integrators looking to grow their business with high value service offerings that target access control challenges. It also offers a significant competitive advantage for monitoring centers, as they can easily add access control to their portfolio of monitored services. “The value proposition of Galaxy Cloud Concierge is easily articulated to both the reseller and the end user,” adds Mr. Caruthers. “For the reseller, it offers recurring revenue and for the user, it eliminates upfront investment and ongoing maintenance costs.

By joining the Cloud Concierge program, integrators who specialize and excel in their specific areas can focus on what they do best rather than trying to provide an end-to-end solution themselves. Best of all, by working with trusted partners to deploy, administer and maintain systems, end users can devote their time and energy to their core business and operations,” said Mr. Caruthers.
