IT Spending to Increase in 2019 Due to Focus on Security
Businesses will be allocating more funds to their IT sector next year, with most of the budget going to cybersecurity measures.

Businesses will be allocating more funds to their IT sector in 2019, with most of their budgets being used for cybersecurity measures, according to a new report from Tech Pro Research.
According to the poll, more than half of organizations will be dedicating more funding to IT. According to almost two thirds of respondents (63 percent), cybersecurity is their biggest concern, followed by cloud services (48 percent) and internal employee training (44 percent).
One of the main motivations behind the increase in spending is new technologies that can transform the organization and improve business results are exciting workers and managers alike. However, businesses expect faster and higher ROI for their purchases.
Globally, IT spending this year is expected to hit $3.7 trillion. Most of the funding goes to new devices like computers, tablets and smartphones.
"The device market continues to see dual dynamics. Some users are holding back from buying and those that are buying, are doing so, on average, at higher price points," Garter analyst, John-David Lovelock said.
