General John F. Kelly to Present Keynote Address at GSX 2019 on Military & Law Enforcement Appreciation Day

The presentation, titled Geopolitics and Security, will take place on Wednesday, 11 September from 8:30 – 10:00 AM and will be open to all All-Access Pass holders.

ASIS International has announced that General John F. Kelly, U.S. Marine Corps (RET), will present a keynote address on Military & Law Enforcement Appreciation Day at the 2019 Global Security Exchange (GSX). The presentation, titled Geopolitics and Security, will take place on Wednesday, 11 September from 8:30 – 10:00 AM and will be open to all All-Access Pass holders.

“Each year, our primary objective is to offer attendees a substantial range of opportunities for enrichment and education at the GSX show,” said John A. Petruzzi, Jr., CPP, 2019 Treasurer, ASIS International. “To that end, we always strive to feature keynote presenters with the most fascinating and relevant stories to tell about their careers and experiences. We are thrilled to have General Kelly on board to share the story of the unique place he holds in our country’s military and political history on Military & Law Enforcement Appreciation Day at GSX 2019.”

As a 4-Star General, as well as former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security and White House Chief of Staff, General Kelly has provided leadership in protecting the United States throughout his distinguished career. After enlisting in the Marine Corps in 1970, he rose through the ranks to serve in a number of command, staff, and school assignments.

During his command of SOUTHCOM, he worked closely with professionals in U.S. law enforcement, particularly the FBI and DEA, and the Department of Homeland Security, dealing with threats against the U.S. homeland. He went on to become the Secretary of Homeland Security before serving his country again as White House Chief of Staff until January 2019.

In his keynote, General Kelly will provide his distinct perspective and insights about the complex political landscape within the United States and around the world, as well as his thoughts on the roles the U.S. takes—and should take—in both.

General Kelly’s keynote address kicks off Military & Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, which honors the individuals who make our communities and world a safer place. As a thank you for their service, all law enforcement, military, and first responders receive free admission to GSX 2019 on Wednesday, 11 September, which includes access to General Kelly’s keynote, conference sessions, and the exhibits and education on the expo floor. Qualified personnel can use promo code “THANKS” when registering and must present official ID onsite for verification.

Remote access, elastic scalability and simplified maintenance reshaped how we think about deploying and managing systems. But as the number of cameras grows and resolutions push from HD to 4K and beyond, the cloud’s limits are becoming unavoidable. Bandwidth bottlenecks. Latency lags. Rising storage costs. These are not abstract concerns. Read Now
