GSX Could Be Hotbed for New Products

Bosch's announcement that they will introduce over 50 new products at GSX bodes well for the conference

I guess I've become accustomed to seeing new products at the first of every year. That's not the case any longer as I open up a recent email from Bosch, who is claiming they are going to introduce more than 50 new products at GSX. They are not alone in introducing new solutions.

Here's what caught my eye with Bosch, and I'm sure that other camera manufacturers are in lockstep. The company is now offering intelligent video solutions for all segments of the industry. According to Brian Wider, regional president of Bosch Security and Safety Systems, "Intelligent devices with on-board video analytics are creating new possibilities for smart data capture and connected IoT applications that improve security and help organizations make smarter business decisions."

Salient will take the opportunity to show off their latest innovation for intelligent security, Salient Security Platform is a unified platform that is simple, scalable and secure. With a newly designed user interface, superior command and control tools, multi-point monitoring capabilities, and seamless third-party integration for access control, license plate recognition, and analytics, Salient delivers a comprehensive management solution to meet your security needs.

I'm hoping this year's version of GSX will be profitable and worthwhile for attendees and exhibitors. Chicago is a terrific venue for an event such as this, and there's a bunch of cool things to do in Chicagoland after hours.

The last time we were in Chicago, I felt it was a good experience. Thankfully, and it's only a personal preference, we're not in Las Vegas.
