Panasonic Presents New Company Roadmap at Partner Summit

Security head and CEO showcase facial recognition and other products at event in Arizona

Panasonic i-PRO Sensing Solutions Corporation of America brought together their reseller and integration partners for three days of education and networking as they presented the roadmap for the new company’s products, technologies and solutions. The Partner Summit, held in Tucson, Arizona, presented an opportunity for the Panasonic Security and Public Safety channel personnel and technology providers to learn and interact in a relaxed setting, the company said.

“This summit was a great occasion to get our communities together and introduce the new company, our mission and our objectives,” said Bill Brennan, Vice President of the Security Division., Ltd. “Panasonic is a highly respected and well-known brand in the security industry, and our intentions when it comes to our new identity are reflected by the theme of the summit: Moving Forward, Together.”

After an introduction by Brennan, new CEO Masato Nakao kicked the meeting off by presenting the new company, now known as PIPSA, and their vision for the future. The company is formed of three main business divisions: Intelligent Surveillance, Public Safety Solutions, and Medical and Industrial. Attendees then learned about the numerous new channel and partner opportunities and programs, followed by a deep dive into the full Panasonic Solution including hardware, software and services.

One of the most important technologies presented at the Summit was Panasonic’s FacePro, a facial recognition system with deep learning technology. The astonishing capabilities of the technology were demonstrated in detail, including the ability to compensate for aging, faces partially hidden by sunglasses or masks, deep angles and more. Attendees also learned about the i-PRO Extreme product lineup and some exciting upcoming new products to be launched in 2020. A number of breakout sessions provided a chance to learn in detail about a variety of Panasonic’s current and upcoming offerings.

“We were thrilled by the reception and reaction of our partner community to the new landscape presented by our evolution,” said Brennan. “As I told the crowd in my introduction, the new beginning starts now.”
