STANLEY Security Appoints Kara Pelecky as Chief Information Officer

Technology executive and business transformation specialist joins majority-female C-suite

STANLEY Security, a global integrator of comprehensive security solutions, appointed Kara Pelecky as Chief Information Officer on March 2. Pelecky will be responsible for the strategic vision, leadership and ongoing implementation of STANLEY Security’s information technology initiatives.

“At STANLEY Security, we are continually pushing to be on the cutting edge of innovation and transformation to provide our customers, partners and employees with a superior experience,” said Robert Raff, President of STANLEY Security. “Kara’s unique perspective and expertise will be a clear competitive advantage, and I am confident that this addition will also play a key role in our organizational transformation and evolving strategic vision.”

Pelecky brings to STANLEY Security over 20 years of experience as a highly accomplished technology executive and business transformation specialist, providing innovative planning policy formulation and successfully driving multi-million dollar projects throughout her career. She previously held roles with a variety of companies including Ernst & Young Management Consultancy and Exelon.

Most recently, Pelecky spent seven years as the Vice President and CIO for The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC), where she focused on defining, sourcing and operating information and communications technology (ICT) functionality as a corporate service.

“Taking on this new role with STANLEY Security provides me with the unique opportunity to apply my expertise from years in the technology industry to help propel the business into the future,” said Pelecky. “Mine and STANLEY Security’s shared passion for inclusivity and transformation is what attracted me to this opportunity, and I am looking forward to leading and further developing STANLEY Security’s already robust information technology program.”

While the number of women in the C-suite is slowly trending upwards, only 18% of CIO and chief technology officer (CTO) positions were held by women in 2019. With the addition of Pelecky, 75% of STANLEY Security’s C-suite roles are now held by women.
