BriefCam Names Liam Galin as Chief Executive Officer

BriefCam has announced the appointment of Liam Galin as its new CEO.

Galin will take charge of BriefCam’s continued sales and employee growth, scaling the innovative company by building upon BriefCam’s industry leadership and continuing to develop the company’s position in new and existing markets.

“Liam’s combination of experience, culture, and drive makes him an ideal fit for BriefCam’s next stages of growth,” said Seymour Liebman, executive vice president of Canon USA, Inc. and Chairman of BriefCam. Acquired by the Canon Group in 2018, BriefCam continues to deliver industry leading video analytics solutions as a core component of the Canon Group, while remaining a standalone video analytics technology company.

“Liam’s passion for innovation and problem solving is matched by BriefCam’s emphasis on excellence, agility, technological advancement and – above all – the exceptional team demonstrating these values every day behind the scenes,” Liebman said. “Under his guidance, BriefCam will continue to expand its leadership position in the video content analytics space, serving the needs of people, companies, and communities as they face dynamic challenges. At the same time, he will cultivate the BriefCam organization integral to achieving the company’s mission.”

From privately held to NASDAQ and LSE-traded companies and small startup teams as well as global companies of more than 300 employees, Galin has more than 20 years of experience leading and scaling international tech companies in various market segments. His leadership portfolio ranges from early-stage, product-market fit exploration to mature companies with international sales of more than $300 million in the aggregate.

“I’m thrilled to take on this new role, building on BriefCam’s demonstrated success in the video content analytics space,” Galin said. “I am highly impressed with BriefCam’s winning team of exceptional individuals, its proven track record of innovation in its industry and – even more so – by the long-term potential of BriefCam. I look forward to collaborating closely with the global team as well as our valued network of ecosystem partners for this exciting next chapter.”

Before joining BriefCam, Galin served as founder and CEO of Whatify, whose AI solutions enabled eCommerce SMBs to proactively convert their data into actionable insights. Galin was also the Chairman and CEO of Flash Networks, which was acquired by Volaris Group. Galin holds M.Sc. and B.Sc. Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University.
