The Products are Nice, But People are the Key

The Products are Nice, But People are the Key

There is nothing like a product tradeshow to get your hands a “little dirty” handling and asking questions about new products. When all is said and done, the people make the difference.

I have been to enough tradeshows that most of the time that initial introduction is not necessary, and conversation quickly turns to product development. Here is a case in point. Like many in the security industry, I have known David Antar and Rick Cadiz for many years. A few years ago, IPVideo Corp., introduced HALO.

In the beginning, HALO was meant for vape detection in schools. When the product gained significant traction, David and his team were certain the product could do more. For starters, the product is developed and made in the U.S.A.

Actually, HALO can provide detection for vape and THC detection, gunshot detection, chemical and gas detection, vandalism and trespassing alerts, air quality monitoring and much more. What was a product to put a stop to vaping in the school has evolved. It continues to improve; make no mistake it is a natural fit in the classroom (https://halodetect.com/markets/education/).

I will share more products and experiences from ISC East on Friday, and beyond.
