Live From ISC West: Day 2 Recap

If it’s even possible, Day 2 of ISC West in Las Vegas, Nevada, was even busier than the first. Remember to keep tabs on our Live From ISC West page for news and updates from the show floor at the Venetian, because there’s more news coming out than anyone could be expected to keep track of. Our Live From sponsors—NAPCO Security, Alibi Security, Vistacom, RGB Spectrum, and DoorKing—kept the momentum from Day 1 going with packed booths, happy hours, giveaways, product demonstrations, and more. Keep reading for details!

NAPCO Security (Booth 12031) hosted a class on its new all-in-one smart panel, Prima, at 2:30 p.m. Prima offers a 7” panel for security, fire alarms, video, and automation with an easily-operable back-end that boasts a five-minute install time. It can assist users in speeding up the process of adding Residential RMR accounts, as well as offering reasonable prices for interactive services. It also offers HD video solutions without requiring a truckroll when accounts change their Wi-Fi passwords or routers. Stop by Booth 12031 for a full product demonstration!

The Alibi Security booth (Booth 31075) was also buzzing with attendees checking out the ALIBI Hybrid Cloud solution. Alibi Hybrid cloud can help businesses enhance on-premise video security by allowing users to activate off-premise cloud-based video storage and advanced AI analytics in addition to traditional security. Its key benefits include the capture of video at the on-premise recording device as well as in the cloud for 180 days of redundant storage. The AI analytics can help reduce false alarms by as much as 95%, while built-in health monitoring capabilities alert users of part of the system fails. It also boasts an unlimited camera count for cloud recording. Its analytics include human detection, vehicle detection, gun detection, objects left behind, loitering detection, and more. Finally, it offers VMS and camera integrations with products from more than 20 other vendors.

Vistacom (Booth L28), located in the lobby just outside the entrance, also saw strong interest in its security control room solutions. The Vistacom SecureView, an all-in-one command center kit, fills the void of a sophisticated Security Operation Center for organizations with low space or low budget. Vistacom specializes in designing and building Security Operation Centers, from end-to-end, that enable organizations to effectively see the whole picture, deal with a variety of security issues, enhance decision-making and improve response times at a centralized location.

RGB Spectrum (Booth 7050) brought its spread of integrated video solutions, including advancements to its Zio portfolio. The Zio portfolio assists with decision-making by letting users view data sources, applications, and video feeds, as well as offering the capability to deliver its content to any destination over any network. The ZioD2100 AV-over-IP decoder is a compact device that supports video resolutions up to 4K/60 and a variety of bitrates to transmit over WANs, LANs, and mobile environments. The XtendPoint KVM-over-IP extender helps connect multiple users with controllable systems. It also supports multi-headed computers.

Finally, DoorKing (Booth 23015) debuted the ProxPlus line of secure card readers that offer an extra degree of security beyond the usual 125 KHz proximity card reader systems. Card clone products available on the Internet can be used to duplicate these standard cards. The ProxPlus Secure reader, however, reads only ProxPlus Secure cards, preventing unauthorized duplication of these particular cards. Visit their booth for a demonstration!
