Oberholtzer Promoted to Vice President, Sales and Operations at CSV Marketing

CSV Marketing, a manufacturers’ representative agency offering a diverse array of high-quality, industrial and safety products, is announcing the promotion of Beck Oberholtzer as vice president, sales & operations.

Oberholtzer joined CSV Marketing in 2018 as regional & marketing manager.

In his new role, Oberholtzer’s responsibilities will expand to oversee daily sales operations. In this position he will work with the CSV sales team to develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive sustained manufacturer revenue growth that exceeds expectations. He will work closely with principals to align the agency with its goals, as well as work with owners and leadership of distributor partners to ensure CSV Marketing product offerings support their needs and the needs of the market. Oberholtzer will also represent CSV Marketing in professional organizations.

“In the past six years with CSV, I’ve had the pleasure of building relationships with our principals, distributor partners and key end users in our markets,” said Oberholtzer. “I’m honored to receive this promotion and continue to help lead CSV Marketing in a direction that will provide maximum value to both our principals and distributors. I’d be remiss if I didn’t emphasize that CSV’s true value comes from our phenomenal team of professional representatives who spend each and every day in the field promoting our manufacturers and supporting our distributor partners.”

Oberholtzer will report to Bill Via, the founder and president of CSV Marketing. Via founded CSV in 1991 and has been at the helm through its tremendous growth. Via will continue his role in leading the agency and executing his strategic vision for the future.

“Congratulations to Beck for this well-deserved promotion,” said Bill Via, president of CSV Marketing. “Beck has proven to have a new way of looking at our business and adjusting to the changes and challenges that our industry has presented as business decisionmakers have skewed younger. The relationships that he’s forged over these past six years will be building blocks for the future of this agency.”

Prior to joining CSV Marketing, Oberholtzer worked in the enterprise software sector, where he ran the North and South American mid-market sales teams at Flexera Software, a multi-billion-dollar organization.

Oberholtzer earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He resides in Vermilion, Ohio, with his wife, Jordan and new daughter, Sloan Sophia. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, boating, tennis, skiing, and spending time with family.

  • From Surveillance to Intelligence

Years ago, it would have been significantly more expensive to run an analytic like that — requiring a custom-built solution with burdensome infrastructure demands — but modern edge devices have made it accessible to everyone. It also saves time, which is a critical factor if a missing child is involved. Video compression technology has played a critical role as well. Over the years, significant advancements have been made in video coding standards — including H.263, MPEG formats, and H.264—alongside compression optimization technologies developed by IP video manufacturers to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality. The open-source AV1 codec developed by the Alliance for Open Media—a consortium including Google, Netflix, Microsoft, Amazon and others — is already the preferred decoder for cloud-based applications, and is quickly becoming the standard for video compression of all types.
