Local Law Enforcement Heroes Honored at a Challenge Coin Ceremony Hosted by 3Si at GSX 2024

3Si, provider of end-to-end security solutions, proudly hosted two Challenge Coin Ceremonies at this year’s Global Security Exchange (GSX). The ceremonies honored local law enforcement heroes for their extraordinary bravery and dedication to community safety. They recognized those who have gone above and beyond in safeguarding the public.

Each ceremony was presented by Richard Long, CPP, 3Si’s Chief Security Officer and a decorated law enforcement retiree, whose extensive background in community protection made him the ideal host. The officers honored have played pivotal roles in apprehending criminals and maintaining community security.

Multiple personnel from the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Florida Highway Patrol, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office were recognized.

The Tuesday ceremony outlined how law enforcement safely and successfully resolved a violent bank robbery at a national bank in Citrus County, FL. The Highway Patrol and the Sheriff’s Office coordinated a successful operation, utilizing crime intelligence delivered to their dispatchers by the 3Si solution platform. Dispatchers and first responders took swift and thoughtful action to ensure the apprehension of the suspects, including the recovery of an AR-15. This operation highlighted the critical role of inter-agency collaboration, prioritizing officer and community safety, and 3Si’s advanced security technologies.

“These officers exemplify the courage and commitment it takes to protect our communities,” said Richard Long during the ceremony. “Their achievements deserve to be recognized, and we’re grateful to have had the chance to honor them at GSX.”

The swift capture of dangerous criminals in this case and thousands more was made possible through the collaboration between law enforcement and 3Si’s advanced security technologies. 3Si’s solutions provide critical real-time tracking data that provides tactical high ground and empowers law enforcement to bring criminals to justice safely and efficiently. Together, 3Si and law enforcement form an unbeatable team, helping to disrupt the crime cycle and ensure safer communities.

The ceremony drew significant attention from GSX attendees, underscoring the vital partnership between 3Si and law enforcement in combating crime and protecting communities.
