New building for PSG

PSG Opens New Austin Headquarters and Engineering Facility

Austin expansion adds 30,000 square feet of R&D and laboratory space to support surging demand for Zero Trust physical security.

Prometheus Security Group Global (PSG) has opened a new 30,000-square-foot global headquarters and engineering facility in Austin, Texas. The site, located at Building 312 in the Burleson Road business corridor, significantly increases the company’s capacity for engineering, testing and operations across the federal, critical infrastructure and commercial sectors.

The expansion comes as the security industry increasingly adopts Zero Trust architectures, which move beyond traditional perimeter defenses to require continuous verification of every user and device. According to the 2026 SIA Megatrends, the convergence of physical and cyber security is now a primary driver for critical infrastructure protection, necessitating facilities that can validate hardware and software in tandem.

Central to the new headquarters are three advanced laboratories dedicated to research and development, system validation and the deployment of next-generation security technologies. Two of these labs are customer-owned, a configuration intended to facilitate joint innovation and direct collaboration with strategic partners on complex security requirements. This model aligns with the CISA 2025-2026 Strategic Plan, which emphasizes the need for integrated cyber-physical resilience.

“This facility gives us the scale and infrastructure to meet customer needs as Zero Trust security extends to the physical edge,” said Carrie Bartz, director of operations. “We can now design, validate and deliver solutions faster and more effectively.”

The Austin location was selected to leverage the region’s technology and innovation ecosystem. The facility supports the development of unified access, intrusion and video platforms that integrate with modern digital frameworks. Industry data indicates that high-security federal environments are increasingly requiring Vindicator-certified and FIPS-compliant solutions to mitigate risks to national assets.

“Austin’s technology talent makes it the ideal foundation for this next stage of growth,” said Rick Gross, co-founder and CEO. “This expansion underscores our commitment to securing critical assets and modernizing how physical security integrates with digital infrastructure.”

The facility is now fully operational, housing PSG’s engineering teams and specialized testing environments.
