Genetec Launches Cloudlink 2210 Appliance

New high-density hardware allows enterprises to scale cloud-managed physical security without requiring infrastructure replacement.

Genetec Inc. has introduced the Genetec Cloudlink 2210, a cloud-managed appliance designed for enterprise-scale deployments. The new hardware addresses challenges organizations face when adopting cloud models, such as storage costs, support for legacy devices and the need for local operation during network disruptions.

The Cloudlink 2210 features a 2U rack-mount form factor, enabling organizations to extend cloud-managed security across high-density environments without redesigning existing infrastructure. The unit supports multiple security workloads, including video management, access control and intrusion, within a single appliance.

Built on an open architecture, the system supports third-party devices such as cameras and access control panels. This allows organizations to modernize within a unified model while maintaining existing hardware and business continuity.

"With Cloudlink 2210, we’re redefining what cloud-managed physical security looks like at scale by giving organizations the freedom to modernize on their own terms," said Christian Chenard Lemire, product director of unified solutions at Genetec.

The appliance supports hundreds of connected devices and provides up to 240 TB of local storage per unit. This design is intended to minimize dependence on cloud storage and help organizations control long-term costs while meeting retention requirements.

To ensure resiliency in mission-critical environments, the 2210 includes RAID-protected storage, redundant system components and dual network interfaces. Security workloads continue to operate locally if cloud connectivity is lost.

The system is designed to scale by adding units as requirements grow, allowing for increased device counts and storage capacity. It integrates with the broader Genetec portfolio, supporting on-premises, cloud or hybrid environments.

The Cloudlink 2210 will be showcased at ISC West and is expected to begin shipping globally in May 2026 through the company's network of channel partners.
