Cure8 and IDScan.net Partner to Launch Identity Verification Kiosk

Automated check-in solution Flow Verify uses document authentication and AI to strengthen compliance and prevent fraud at cannabis retailers.

Cannabis technology provider Cure8 and identity verification firm IDScan.net have partnered to launch Flow Verify, a self-service kiosk designed to automate customer check-ins and document authentication for dispensaries.

The partnership integrates IDScan.net’s VeriScan technology into Cure8’s hardware, allowing retail operators to scan and verify government-issued identification in seconds. The system is designed to address increasing regulatory pressure and the rising prevalence of sophisticated fraudulent IDs in the cannabis industry.

Flow Verify performs high-level ID authentication by inspecting documents across three light spectrums: ultraviolet, white and infrared. This process detects altered or counterfeit documents that may bypass manual visual inspections.

“Cannabis operators face a rising amount of regulatory pressure and increased instances of ID fraud,” said Jillian Kossman, COO of IDScan.net. “By partnering with Cure8, we’re extending IDScan.net’s trusted identity verification technology into convenient kiosks that help dispensaries protect their business, their customers and their employees.”

Beyond security, the kiosk automates the intake process by parsing data such as name and address directly into point-of-sale systems. This integration reduces manual data entry for budtenders and standardizes the verification process to minimize human error.

The software also includes visitor management tools to track customer loyalty and prevent "passbacks," where a single ID is used multiple times by different individuals. Built-in compliance controls allow businesses to manage data retention policies in accordance with specific state and jurisdictional requirements.

Based in New Orleans, IDScan.net provides AI-driven identity verification for various industries, including gaming, hospitality and finance. Cure8 focuses on technology and security infrastructure specifically tailored for the cannabis market.
