SOS Technologies and Regroup Automate Emergency Alerts

New integration connects on-site alert systems to mass notification platforms to accelerate life-safety response times.

SOS Technologies and Regroup Mass Notification have launched a strategic partnership to integrate on-site emergency alert hardware with cloud-based communication platforms. The collaboration aims to automate the delivery of life-safety alerts the moment a duress signal is activated.

The integration links SOS Technologies’ emergency alert system directly to Regroup’s mass notification engine. When a physical alert is triggered on-site, the system automatically initiates a workflow that sends targeted notifications across SMS, voice, email, mobile push and desktop alerts.

By removing the need for manual message drafting or human intervention at the point of activation, the system addresses common bottlenecks in emergency management. Traditionally, internal communication during a crisis can take 10 to 15 minutes due to manual call trees and relayed information. This automated bridge is designed to compress that timeline to seconds.

"With SOS Technologies and Regroup, organizations can leverage their legacy investments to accelerate the arrival of both internal security teams and external first responders," said Travis Leonardi, CEO of SOS Technologies.

The system is designed for high-risk environments, such as K-12 schools, healthcare facilities and corporate campuses. Because the SOS Technologies architecture is GovRAMP-authorized, the deployment meets federal security standards for public-sector use while remaining scalable for private enterprise.

The technical framework utilizes a secure API to allow Regroup’s technology to communicate with the SOS alert platform. This ensures that when a "Quick Message" is triggered, it reaches predefined recipients across multiple channels simultaneously to ensure redundancy.

"This integration removes friction at the most critical moment," said Joe Di Pasquale, CEO of Regroup. "In high-risk scenarios like an active shooter event, that speed can be lifesaving."

The partnership focuses on real-time event triggering and multi-channel delivery, allowing the integration to be deployed across large distributed facilities without requiring significant changes to existing infrastructure.
