Everon Appoints Jay Robertson as Chief Business Operations Officer

The newly created executive leadership role aims to centralize core business functions and accelerate growth through AI investment.

Everon announced the promotion of Jay Robertson to the newly created role of chief business operations officer. Robertson will report directly to CEO Don Young.

In this expanded position, Robertson oversees centralized, customer-facing operations and core business support functions. The company stated the role is designed to streamline processes through artificial intelligence investment and strengthen cross-functional alignment.

Robertson has more than 20 years of experience in the security industry, including previous roles with Protection 1, ADT, and ADT Commercial. He now leads the business operations organization, which consolidates monitoring operations, customer care and retention, video solutions, shared services, and product and project management.

The centralized structure is intended to create a more cohesive experience by aligning departments from product management to monitoring under a single leader.

Robertson’s organization is tasked with advancing the company's use of AI to automate high-volume workflows. This includes deploying tools within monitoring centers to assist with issue resolution and utilizing agent-assist technology to manage routine processes.

"By centralizing our customer-facing operations and critical business support teams under a single leader, we are building the operational foundation required to achieve greater agility, speed, and service consistency," Young said.

As part of the restructured team, Michael Forbes joined the company as senior director of customer care and retention. Forbes, who began his career at Protection 1 in 2012, will focus on enhancing customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
